Children’s Liturgy: The Liturgy of the Word is adapted for 5 to 10 year old children, for a presentation during the 10:00 am Sunday mass (ministry building or hall)

Children with Special Needs

Children with Special Needs: All children are entitled to come to know Jesus and participate in the life of the church to whatever degree they are able. If you have a child with a special need, we can work with you to set up a plan for your child. Contact the Faith Formation Office at klarisse@goodshepherdpittsburg.org.
 

Children Youth Formation

Children Youth Formation is for children from 1st – 5th grades who are not attending a Catholic school. Classes are held on Sundays (English and Spanish) at 9am (English), 1:10pm (English and Spanish), and 3pm (Spanish only). For more information, contact Lorena@goodshepherdpittsburg.org

EDGE Middle School

EDGE Middle School is a youth ministry, for students who are in the 6th – 8th grades. Through a variety of teachings & activities, we assist children in forming a lasting relationship with Jesus and learning about our Catholic Faith. Classes are held Wednesdays 4:30-6pm. Faith Formation: High School Confirmation

Confirmation is a 2 year process, typically starting in 9th grade. Classes are held on Sundays from 11:15am-1:00-pm. For more information, contact Klarisse@goodshepherdpittsburg.org

Order of Christian Initiation for Children (OCIC)

OCIC (Formally RCIC) - Order of Christian Initiation Children prepares children over the age of 7 needing Baptism. 1st year of class, they will learn what they need to receive their Baptism. 2nd year of classes, they will learn what they need to receive First Communion. Bible Study

Catholic Bible studies are an important way of understanding the Catholic Faith. The more we can understand the inspired writings in the books of the Bible, the more we understand the beliefs, celebrations and rituals of our Faith. Simply reading the Bible can be confusing, so reading the bible with others is important.

Thursday Night Bible Study Group

Thursday Night Bible Study Group has 10 to 15 people and is open to anyone who would like to join them on Thursday nights from 7:00PM – 8:30PM in the Ministry building. Contact: Ben Davi at 925-439-9279.
